EYEFIRE was the technology partner of TOTA chess tournament - Ministry of education & training

On the afternoon of 16 May, Deputy minister of education Ngo Thi Minh Du stated in the announcement ceremony of the TOTA  national chess tournament for students 2022. The ceremony was a live event with departments of education and training in some provinces connected online.

The national chess tournament for students 2022 took place from May to September with attendants being  primary and secondary school students in public and private schools. The tournament was divided into 5 rounds with 23.600 chess clubs at school and 214,000 chess players participating in. Each round of competition from school-level to ministry-level finals was online in order to selecting 16 strongest teams, including 8 teams of primary schools and 8 teams of secondary schools taking part in competing for TOTA cup in September 2022.

 

In order to foster the establishment and development of chess club at school in the future and ensure the information of all chess players that take part in the event is accurate, the organizing committee decided to receive the list of all teams representing schools and verify the information based on identification numbers on ministry of education's database management system of students. Chess players with personal archievement was listed on the official website of the tournament: covuahocduong.edu.vn which was managed and operated by Department of physical education.

TCOM was the technology partner, building systems that ensure the fairness of the online tournament in order to archieve the goal of the tournament.

Stated in the announcement ceremony, Deputy minister Ngo Thi Minh emphasized : This was the first time students could take part in a chess tournament from school-level, district-level and national level in a new environment that allow them to compete online. She said that: the national chess tournament for students 2022 was an intellectual event that attracted many nationally primary and secondary school students and reduced the appeal of harmful websites.
